Mileage Tracking

I’ve recommended apps like MileIQ and Everlance for a while. But QBO has its own mileage tracking on your mobile app now. Based on my trial, it still has some bugs if you are using the GPS tracking, but to punch in your trips using maps it’s perfect. And it will continue to improve. Intuit is putting a lot of development into QBO.

Tax Penalties and Interest Function

The tax functionality of QBO has been a bit lacking, but it’s become more robust and reliable. (Although I still always check the sales tax module against the related general ledger accounts to be sure.) Now you can book penalties and interest through the module, keeping your books straight through the Tax module. No more journal entries required.
